You will find the overview on all your casting calls, past and present. If this is your first casting call on Yaplat, this screen will be empty. - To create a new casting call, click on
- On the Enter New Casting Call form, upload your company banner and logo, and click
- On the left of your screen, you will find 3 tabs:
These tabs will guide you on your casting call process, you can toggle between them as you create your casting call. - Casting Details:
- On the “Casting Details” form, fill in your project details:
- Title: Enter a name for your project
- Delegates: This feature allows you to give access to other people, so that they may access and edit your Casting Call. To add a delegate, first press , then enter the email addresses of the people you want to allow access. You may also enter a message that will be sent to your delegates.
- Shoot Date / Month: Select the shoot dates that apply to this Casting Call. When the dates are selected they will appear in the Shoot Start Date and Shoot End Date fields.
- Shoot Location: Enter the location where the project will be filmed.
- Close Date: Enter the date on which submissions to the Casting Call will be closed.
- Description: Enter the description of your project - include as much information as possible including Media, Usage, Territory.
- Email Notifications Sent To: Enter an email address where submissions should be sent.
- Email Notifications: Choose one of the following options:
Submissions to arrive individually: Submissions will be sent to the nominated address as they arrive on the system.
Submissions to arrive at 3pm: Submissions will be held on the Yaplat server, and then sent as attachments to a single email at 3pm daily. - When you’ve completed the Casting Details form, click to start adding the roles.
- On the “Casting Details” form, fill in your project details:
- Add Roles:
- On the “Role” form, fill the form one role at a time, fields that are starred are important to fill in. You can toggle the drop-downs to match your role needs.
- Role: The title of the role (e.g “Shopkeeper”, “Mum” or “Child”)
- Gender: Enter the gender of the role, if specified. If the role is not gender-specific, select “Any”
- Compensation: Select from the following options:
Fee available when shortlisted: This option denotes that the performer will be paid for the shoot, but that the fee will not be disclosed until they have been shortlisted for the role.
Paid: This option requires you to enter the fee range that will be paid for the role. On selecting the “Paid” option, two new fields will appear: “Fee range from” and “Fee range to”.
Note: Clicking on the lock icon located on the right of the field, will lock the fees of the casting call, and your delegates will be unable to edit it.
- Age From/Age To: Enter the minimum and maximum ages required for this role.
- Accepting submissions from: Select the countries that you will accept Talent submissions from. Do keep in mind to have the budget in your project for travel and accommodation.
- Ethnicity: Select the ethnicity of the performer required for this role, if required.
- Description: Describe the performer and the role in as much detail as possible. The more accurate your descriptions are, the more relevant submissions you will receive.
- Attachments: If you have any files to support the description of this role (e.g scripts, treatments etc), you can attach them here.
- Other Requirements: Here, you may specify physical and other requirements for the performer in this role.
For example, you may specify that the performer must be at least 175 cm in height, and have silver-grey hair. If you specify these requirements, we will ensure that all applicants have filled in their height and hair color, and you will only see submissions from performers who match your requirements.
To add a requirement, click and then choose from the listed options: - Complete the rest of the form and if you have more roles to fill, click to add a new role form. You can also add roles by clicking the (+) button beside existing roles. To delete roles, click on the (-) button on the role you wish to delete.

- To streamline your casting process, you can ask a question in the ‘Questions for Applicants” field. You can add as many questions you want, simply click on for additional questions.
- Click on if you want to share the casting call with your colleagues/client or click to send your casting call with talent and talent agents on our database.
